At Christie's Sereno, we believe our business has a responsibility to protect the communities we operate in. For that reason we created the Sereno 1% for Good Charitable Foundation to invest in our local non-profit partners who work to create positive change in our communities. Every quarter, each of our Christie's Sereno offices selects a local charity to receive a grant, based on the applications we've received from the community, from our agents, and from our clients. We provide grants to these charities from various funds, as noted below.
We are proud to say that Christie's Sereno has given over $5 million dollars since our 1% for Good program was started by our agents 11 years ago. Additionally, in 2022 the Silicon Valley Business Journal ranked Christie's Sereno as the 24th highest charitable corporate giver among some of the most distinguished companies in Silicon Valley. This recognition is a testament to our continued commitment to actively and positively participate in the communities we serve.
We believe in giving back to the places we live and love. For every dollar we make from the business of buying and selling homes, we are able to invest a portion with local partners and organizations who are working to create positive change in our communities.
We believe everyone should have access to clean air and water, live free from hunger, have a safe place they call home and the opportunity to create the life of their dreams. That’s why we support organizations like Loaves & Fishes, Habitat For Humanity and Momentum for Mental Health.
We accept Community Impact grant applications on an on-going basis. The selection process takes place quarterly in each of our regions. The final decision is made by our agents and staff via a region wide ballot. Our grant varies in dollar amount, but generally ranges between $5,000 to $15,000.
We believe every child deserves an exceptional learning environment and the opportunity to pursue higher education. That’s why we support organizations like Resource Area For Teaching RAFT, MVLAScholars, and 10,000 Degrees.
