Dungeness Crab Season is in full swing and so are the crab feeds!

We may not have snowy outdoor activities like other parts of the country, but here in the San Francisco bay area and along the coastline of California, we have our own traditions, and one of those is an annual Crab Feed!  If you’ve never been, make this year the year you try one.  They feature our special west coast delicacy, Dungeness Crab, and they only happen in late January, February and early March.  

This year, our local Dungeness Crab season opened on January 18th, so if you’d like to partake in one of these delicious feasts of fresh crab with all the fixins, check out the list (below) of crab feeds happening locally in and around Los Gatos.  These events are typically held as part of an annual fund-raising activity for non-profits and the per person price ranges between approximately $80-$100 (senior and kids often have discount prices).  These events fill up fast so be sure to get your reservation soon! 

Los Gatos and Saratoga:

Feb 3: Los Gatos Rotary All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feed & Auction. Saturday, Feb 3, starting at 5 pm at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 13601 Saratoga Ave, Saratoga, CA 95070. Discount pricing for kids 5-12 & under 5 are free.

Feb. 3-4: Burrell School Vineyards & Winery 'Wine & Crab Feed' A chef-curated feast! Limited seating, so book soon.

Feb. 10: Lions Club Cioppino Dinner & Fundraiser. Four-course feast, auctions & raffles planned.  

Cupertino:

Feb. 3: Cupertino De Anza Lions All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feed. Two seatings with fresh crab, pasta, salad & garlic bread, plus silent auction.

Mountain View:

Feb. 3: Rotary Club 2024 Crab Feed.  With kid pricing for ages 3-10.

Feb. 24: IFES Society Crab Cioppino Event: Portuguese Hall. "Join us for the best cioppino in town, Portuguese-style!"

Milpitas:

Feb. 9:  Milpitas Kiwanis 20th Annual MUSD Crab Feed & Auction. Crab feed and auction to benefit the community!

Mar 15: 30th Annual Chamber Of Commerce Crab Feed. Marking its 30th year!

San Jose:

Feb. 3:  Notre Dame’s 21st Annual Crab Fest. All-you-can-eat fresh-cracked Dungeness crab, pasta, antipasto, salad, bread and dessert! Also raffle prizes, a live auction and a dessert silent auction. Tickets are sold out, but you can join the waitlist as seats often become available as it gets closer to the event.

Feb. 3: St. John Vianney Crab Feed.  No host bar, appetizers, crab feed, live auction, silent auction & western dance party.

Feb. 3: Leigh High BBQ Benefit (AKA 'Crab Feed'). Great food with a menu that ranges from Crab to Smokin’ BBQ Ribs and chicken, fresh bread, mixed green salad, fully loaded baked potato, dessert, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Live music from Leigh High musicians and roving thespians, a silent auction where all proceeds benefit the award winning Performing Arts programs at Leigh High School.

Feb. 10:  St. Martin of Tours Men's Club All-You-Can-Eat Crab Feed. Unlimited crab, pasta, soup, salad, bread and dessert.  Children options too.  

Feb. 17:  You Had Me at CRAB!  Take home a whole fresh cooked, cleaned and cracked Dungeness crab, pasta marinara, salad, bread and dessert! Yu-Kai Community Senior Center, San Jose.

Gilroy:

Feb. 10:  Operation Freedom Paws Crab Feed (In-Person & To-Go). With options for chicken cordon bleu & veggie polenta, too. Proceeds fund life-saving service dog teams.

Feb. 17:  I.F.D.E.S. Holy Ghost Crab Cioppino Feed & Dance.  Portuguese Hall, Gilroy. Call for tickets.

Santa Cruz:

Mar 9:  Surf City Kiwanis Annual Crab & Pasta Feed Fundraiser. Popular, community event in its 43rd year. Offers pasta-only option, too.
