As the long days of summer begin to mellow into early fall, I always find myself drawn to the rhythm and beauty of live music and theater. As someone who sings in a symphony choir, I know firsthand how powerful it can be to share in that collective energy — both on stage and in the audience. There’s something magical about gathering in a beautiful space — whether it’s a candlelit church or a grand concert hall — and letting the music wash over you. It’s a soul-filling way to slow down and savor the season.
If you’re anything like me, this time of year sparks the urge to soak up a little more inspiration before the busy pace of fall kicks in. From stirring orchestral performances and intimate solo recitals to dramatic plays and unique music experiences, there’s a full calendar of cultural moments waiting to be enjoyed right here in our own backyard. I’ve included several that I’ll be performing in as well — and I’d love to see you in the audience! Whether you’re discovering a new artist or revisiting a beloved symphony, I hope you find something that moves you and adds a bit of magic to your late-summer evenings.
